French 1
Grade Placement: 9-12

Writing and speaking beginning French emphasizing grammar. Includes the culture of French-speaking people.
 

French 2
Grade Placement: 10-12
1 credit
Prerequisite: French I - Teacher Approval

Emphasis is placed upon the speaking, reading and writing of the skills learned in French 1.
 
   

French 3
Grade Placement: 11-12
1 credit
Prerequisite: French II - Teacher Approval

A continued study of writing, listening, and speaking French, but with more emphasis on literature and culture.
   

French 4
Grade Placement:
1 credit
Prerequisite: French I, II, III - Teacher Approval

This is a course designed to maintain language skills until the student reaches college-level classes. Students will study French literature, participate in discussions in the target language, and will develop more advanced composition skills.

Spanish1

Prerequisite: 8th grade English grade 80 or higher
Emphasis is placed upon speaking, understanding, reading, and writing the language. After successfully completing Spanish 1, students will be able to communicate in simple Spanish. Recommendation for Spanish I students: an average of 80 in English

Prerequisite: Spanish I - Teacher Approval

Emphasis is placed upon speaking, understanding, reading and writing the language. After successfully completing Spanish Ii, students will be able to communicate in Spanish
 
 

Spanish 3
Grade Placement: 10-12
1 credit
Prerequisite: Spanish I, II - Teacher Approval

Spanish III is designed to enrich and reinforce all levels of communication.
 
 

Spanish 4
Grade Placement: 11-12
1 credit
Prerequisite: Spanish I, II, III - Teacher Approval

Dual Credit Spanish 4

Prerequisite: Must pass local assessment test at Blinn College - register through Blinn College

This class is offered in conjunction with Blinn College beginning Spanish 1&2, course 1411/1412. students must pass a local assessment test at Blinn College and register through Blinn College.
