1. Hypothesis 2. Materials list 3. Procedure 4. Six keywords related to your project idea |
| Sept 27 - 28 | Bring a note signed by your parents stating you are ready to begin the science fair project. |
2nd Six Weeks
| Oct 1 - 2 | Begin your 30 day project / experiement |
| Oct 4 - 5 | Bring a note from your parents stating you
have begun your project.
Turn in first week graphs / tables. Any fabrication of data will result in an automatic zero for the grading period. |
| Oct 11 - 12 | Turn in second week of graphs and tables. |
| Oct 18 - 19 | Turn in third week of graphs and tables. |
| Oct 25 - 26 | Turn in fourth week of graphs and tables. |
| Nov 1 - 2 | Turn in final concise graph and table summarizing the collected results of the project. |
| Nov 5 - 6 | Turn in conclusion and application answering
the following questions:
1. Evaluation of my project. ( How you think the project went.) 2. Tell why anyone would want to know the results of your experiment. (It's significance.) 3. What did you learn from the project? 4. How did you arrive at your conclusion? 5. How would you change the experiment if you had to do it over again? |
Third Six Weeks
| Nov 12 - 13 | Turn in 2 bibliography cards (using MLA format) or 2 printed articles. |
| Nov 19 - 20 | Resubmit title, hypothesis, materials list, and procedure if project has changed. |
| Nov 29-30 | Turn in 6 bibliography cards and 6 note cards
using MLA format.
Turn in outline. |
| Dec 4 - 5 | Turn in copy of rough draft of at least 750 words. |
| Dec 6 - 7 | Turn in works cited. |
Fourth Six Weeks
| Jan 9 - 10 | Turn in entire IRP notebook |
| Jan 12 - 13 | Purchase trifold and prepare for science fair |
| Feb 7 | Brenham High School Science Fair
Bring table and setup before 8:00 a.m. in the practice gym. |
