Brenham High School Receives 2017 Champion of Computer Science in Community Impact Award

Brenham High School has been selected from nearly 1,000 entries to receive the 2017 Champion of Computer Science in Community Impact Award from the Computer Science Teachers Association and Code.org. This award is being presented in celebration of the 2017 Computer Science Education Week, and will be accepted in San Mateo, CA on Monday, December 4 by Brenham High School computer science teacher Trenton Hall. The 2017 CSEdWeek kickoff and awards event will feature Peggy Johnson of Microsoft, Sheryl Sandberg of Facebook, and Susan Wojcicki of YouTube. Brenham High School is being recognized for creating a total of 8 prosthetic hands and arms over the last 3 years, and for being on the forefront of the national computer science education movement.
