Prairie View Social Work Action Club

The Prairie View Social Work Action Club has volunteered their time at DAEP/Pride Academy beginning in 2013. This partnership was created from a vision to increase mentorship for students at DAEP/Pride Academy. These Prairie View A&M college students provide meaningful peer mentoring with high school students focusing on making a connection to challenges teens face. It also serves as preparation for the students seeking employment in the area of social services. Since the inception of the program, the students and mentors have established solid relationships in which both are eager for the next meeting.
