Local sponsors fund Brenham ISD Education Foundation mini-grants for teachers

The Brenham ISD Education Foundation has received $2,700 in donations from local corporate sponsors in support of the mini-grant program. Mattrezzz Guys store owners Anthony and Erika Jasinski generated $2,200 through a store campaign specifically designed to support the Foundation. An additional $500 was donated by ACU of Texas, Brenham Branch, by recommendation of Wendy Frazier, Branch Manager.

The mini-grant program enables the Foundation to provide funding for educational supplies, projects, and activities that are not within the district's budget. The Foundation has received over $200,000 in requests this year by Brenham ISD teachers. The ability to fund mini-grant requests and strengthen learning in the classroom has been made possible by the BISD employee giving program, direct involvement and support from local businesses, and community foundations that contribute to or sponsor mini-grants.

The Brenham ISD Education Foundation is proud to support the dedicated and hardworking teachers of BISD. The Foundation greatly appreciates all partners who have committed to this year's program and we welcome additional contributions and sponsors to assist us in achieving our mission.

Mini-grant recipients will be determined at the September board meeting, and awards will be distributed in late October.
