On October 19th, 25 students from Brenham High School’s Computer Science classes attended the annual Texas State University IT Symposium. In addition to various computer skill competitions, students attended sessions held by both faculty and industry professionals covering topics such as software development, mobile apps, data analytics, careers in technology, robotics, game design, computer security, and more.
For the third year in a row, Brenham High School senior Zeb McCorkle has won the Java competition at the Symposium. The competition involved solving coding challenges with the Java programming language. Students from 16 different schools from across Texas competed in the competition.
