Back-to-School Resource Fair

Brenham ISD is thrilled to announce we are hosting our first Back to School Resource Fair. It is our vision to Inspire and Encourage Excellence for ALL. In collaboration with our families and community, Brenham ISD is committed to providing an exceptional education for ALL students; however, last year, we noticed that some of our students had shoes with holes in them or were just too old. Childhood is supposed to be a carefree time, and students should not have to worry about the basic necessities and sadly, we found out that some of our students are facing those situations. Some of our Cubs are in desperate need of a decent pair of shoes. We hope that all students will feel confident, feel great, and have a lasting pair of brand new shoes for the 2021-2022 school year. This event would not be possible if it weren’t for our community partners, who immediately jumped at the opportunity to change a student’s life.

Brenham ISD would like to thank our community partners IDEX Sealing Soluttions, Precision Polymer Engineering, Mariachi's Mexican Restaurant, City of Brenham, Briannas, Evvaylois School of Beauty, Better Homes, and Gardens Real Estate Hometown, Citizens State Bank, BlueBonnet Electric Cooperative, Brenham Game Changes, Appel Ford, Walking By Faith, Manuel’s Mexican Restaurant, Must Be Heaven, Uptown Rootz, and many others who pitched in to make this event possible.

If you would like to help sponsor this event, contact Veronica Johannsen at 979-277-3715 or email at vjohannsen@brenhamk-12.net.

Brenham ISD Distinguished Alumni

Your participation is requested in the selection of outstanding alumni of the Brenham Public Schools. Brenham ISD will have an annual celebration luncheon recognizing the history and success of both the schools and its alumni each September. If you wish to nominate someone, this form must be submitted to the Central Administration Office of Brenham ISD. Unless there are COVID-19 restrictions that may require postponement, any nominations received after that date will not be considered for the 2020 awards. They will be kept on file, however, for a period of five years.

The Selection Committee will focus its consideration upon alumni who have demonstrated the character traits of leadership and service, with the nominee’s personal and professional success being an additional factor. Examples should include:

  • Active participation in community, state, or national activities
  • Evidence of lasting contribution to an organization, business, or society in general
  • Exhibited leadership ability
  • Distinction in personal life

Brenham ISD Block Party and Elementary Fitness Walk
block party

Brenham ISD is thrilled to combine two district events to engage local families in fun and fitness! The Brenham ISD Block Party and Elementary Fitness Walk will be held on Saturday, October 26 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Cub Stadium (1600 East Tom Green Street). All students, staff and community members are invited to join us for music, food, games and fun for the whole family. Brenham ISD students in prekindergarten through sixth grade who complete four laps around the track will be treated to Blue Bell Ice Cream and rewarded with a medal and a Whataburger coupon. This FREE family event is designed to celebrate the first public school district in Texas and help Brenham ISD elementary students gain an awareness of the importance of daily exercise.
