Brenham ISD looking for elementary CARS mentors

Brenham ISD is looking for positive adult role models to mentor and tutor students through the Children Are Really Special (CARS) program. CARS has been a successful part of Brenham ISD for over 20 years. For many students today, learning requires more than a classroom setting can provide. Students who for a number of reasons have fallen behind their peers in reading need more individual attention than is available in a regular classroom setting. For only 30 minutes once a week you can change the academic course of a child’s life. Please consider tutoring a kindergarten or first-grade student at one of our elementary campuses. You will be glad you did!

Our greatest areas of need are as follows:

Alton Elementary School

Mondays or Thursdays from 11:20-11:50 a.m.
