Thank you for your warm welcome!

Dear Cub Nation,

Thank you for your warm welcome over the last few weeks and for your support as the district transitions to new leadership. Although COVID-19 and staffing changes in Brenham ISD have impacted your lives in many ways, this time has also provided us all with important life lessons. The Cub Nation family is strong and nothing can overshadow your hard work, accomplishments, and special moments. Thank you for your dedication to our students and schools throughout the 2019-2020 school year and beyond.

While we are not offering traditional summer school this year, several summer learning programs are underway both virtually and in-person for our high need students. My sincerest thanks to those of you who have assisted in the planning and delivery of our grade level promotion, credit recovery, extended school year, bilingual/ESL and jump start programs. Your hard work will help build a strong foundation for the 2020-2021 school year.

I know many of you have questions about our return to school in the fall. Please know that district officials continue to seek feedback and evaluate the situation to ensure a plan is in place that keeps the health, safety, and well-being of our students and staff at the forefront. We will approach the challenges of the future with positivity as we work together to provide a safe, positive educational experience.

As we enter the summer months, please make sure you take time to rest, recharge and enjoy time with loved ones. Before you can care for others, you must first care for yourself! I am truly excited about what is to come and I look forward to being part of the successes of our students, district, and community.
