This afternoon, during the Brenham ISD End of Year Awards and Recognition Celebration the District revealed the 2020-2021 Teacher and Paraprofessional of the Year. As educators stood on the Brenham High School Auditorium stage, anxiously waiting if their name would be called Paul Aushenbeck takes a step forward and names Alison Bentke, Brenham Junior High Teacher as the District Teacher of the Year. The anticipation and nerves hadn’t cleared the room as the room waited to find out the paraprofessional of the year. Peggy Still, Principal of Brenham Middle School reveals Teresa Peddy as the District Paraprofessional of the Year. All 16 honorees received gifts from Hubert Masonic Lodge #67, Brazos Valley Schools Credit Union, Bank of Brenham, Brenham Rotary Club and Whataburger.
