Strategic Planning Committee: Round 1

November 2025 VATRE / Bond Election

Strategic Planning Committee: Round 1
The first round of the Brenham ISD Strategic Planning Committee (SPC) brought together a diverse group of parents, educators, students, and community members with one shared goal—building a stronger future for Brenham ISD. Over the course of six meetings, the committee examined district needs, explored facility priorities, reviewed financial data, and gathered community feedback to shape recommendations that reflected both fiscal responsibility and a shared vision for student success. Through open dialogue and collaborative problem-solving, the committee developed the framework that led to the November 2025 VATRE and Bond proposals.

Thanks to the thoughtful work of the SPC and the trust of our community, both the VATRE and Bond measures were approved by voters in November 2025. This milestone secures $39 million in capital improvements—without raising the tax rate—and provides $2.45 million in annual operational funding dedicated to supporting Brenham ISD students and staff. More importantly, the process strengthened relationships, built transparency, and reaffirmed Brenham ISD’s commitment to working side by side with our community to plan boldly and responsibly for the future.
