    Brooke Trahan is the Chief Communications & Community Engagement Officer for Brenham ISD, where she leads all district communications, media relations, and community engagement initiatives. A proud Brenham ISD alumna and two-time Teacher of the Year, she has over fifteen years of experience in education, leadership, and public relations.

    Brooke oversees district branding, crisis communication, and strategic information campaigns, including bond and VATRE communications. She also directs the Brenham ISD Ambassador Academy and serves as the district representative on the Brenham ISD Education Foundation, strengthening partnerships between the district and community. As a member of multiple district leadership teams, Brooke is known for fostering transparency and collaboration under Brenham ISD’s vision: One Team, One Goal.

    Tom Spall
    Communications Technology Coordinator & District Webmaster

    Tom Spall is a graduate of The University of Central Oklahoma with his B.A in Elementary Education.  Tom also has his M.ED. in Educational Technology Leadership from Lamar University.  As a 17+ year educator, Tom is passionate about technology integration and is constantly expanding on his educational pedagogy.  Tom came to Brenham in 2012 with his wife, Rachel, and have happily raised their two daughters in this community.

    The Communications Technology Coordinator works in collaboration with the district's Communications Department and Technology Services Department.  The CTE supports and collaborates with campus staff to identify the best uses for technology in instruction to create engaging and effective learning experiences. The CTC supports teachers with software tools, learning systems & applications, instructional technology strategies and best practices, and multimedia integration in their classrooms.

    They also provide numerous professional development opportunities and act as a liaison for teacher and technician interactions when necessary. Teachers should make the Communications Technology Coordinator their first contact for supporting them with instructional technology in their classrooms.

    Amy brings a wealth of expertise and creativity to our team. Amy's role as the Facilitator of Multimedia Content & Design encompasses a diverse range of tasks that contribute significantly to enhancing BISD's communication efforts. Her responsibilities include:

    Content Creation: Responsible for conceptualizing, creating, and curating multimedia content that effectively communicates BISD's messages to various stakeholders. This involves producing visually engaging graphics, videos, presentations, and other multimedia materials that align with the district's branding and communication strategies.

    Design Excellence:
    Use design skills to craft visually appealing and impactful materials. She will develop graphics, layouts, and designs for a variety of purposes, including social media campaigns, newsletters, presentations, and event promotions.

    Media Management:
    Oversee the organization, storage, and distribution of multimedia assets, ensuring that materials are easily accessible and readily available to support BISD's communication initiatives.

    Collaboration:
    Collaborate closely with various departments and stakeholders to gather information, understand communication needs, and deliver content that effectively conveys important messages.

    Digital Platforms:
    Manage BISD's digital platforms, such as the communications page on the district website, social media accounts, and other online channels. She will optimize content for different platforms, ensuring consistent and impactful messaging.

    Our Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent and Communications Department plays a vital role in our school district. She is responsible for managing all board documents, election documents, and other district documents ensuring they are prepared, organized, and distributed in a timely manner. With exceptional attention to detail, she handles sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality and discretion.

    In addition to her work with board documents, she serves as the key liaison for the Communications Department and the Superintendent, facilitating the efficient flow of information and supporting various administrative tasks. Her strong communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with her ability to multitask and prioritize effectively, make her an invaluable asset to our team and the success of our school district.
