Getting Involved

In Brenham ISD, we believe that strong partnerships between schools, families, and the community create the foundation for student success. When parents and caregivers are actively involved in their child’s education, it leads to improved academic achievement, enhanced social and emotional well-being, and a stronger school community.

Our district is committed to providing meaningful opportunities for parents to engage, stay informed, and collaborate with educators in supporting student learning and growth. Explore the resources and programs available to strengthen the connection between home and school, ensuring every student has the support they need to thrive.

There are several options for Brenham ISD parents to become involved:

Brenham ISD Ambassador Academy:

The Brenham ISD Ambassador Academy is an annual program that provides citizens of our community with a better understanding of public school operations, specifically tailored to the operations of Brenham ISD.

Brenham ISD Booster Club:

The Brenham ISD Booster Club is a dedicated supporter of our student-athletes and athletic programs. Through sponsorships and fundraising, they help enhance the sports experience for students, coaches, and fans across the district.

City of Brenham:

The City of Brenham is a valued partner of Brenham ISD, working closely with our schools to offer enriching community experiences through the Nancy Carol Roberts Memorial Library, Parks and Recreation, and more. (They are also spotlighted on our Summer Connections Page)

Cub Closet Program:

The Cub Closet Program provides students and families with access to donated clothing, coats, school supplies, and backpacks. This annual outreach ensures every child is equipped and confident to thrive at school.

Cubs2Read Tutoring Program:

Cubs2Read is a volunteer-driven tutoring program focused on helping Brenham ISD elementary students build strong reading and comprehension skills. Community members can make a big impact—one child and one book at a time.

Contact Volunteer Coordinator Billie Fowler at 979-251-4568 to get started.

Brenham ISD Education Foundation:

The Brenham ISD Education Foundation supports excellence in education by funding innovative classroom projects and providing resources beyond the district budget. Since 2004, the Foundation has helped elevate learning opportunities for all BISD students.

Brenham Gamechangers:

Brenham GameChangers empowers local youth by promoting character development, life skills, and financial support for participation in sports, fine arts, and academics. Every student deserves the opportunity to grow and shine—on the field, on stage, and in the classroom.

PTA (Campus and District):

PTAs play a vital role in strengthening school communities through parent engagement, volunteer support, and campus activities. As we look forward to launching a districtwide PTA in 2025–2026, we celebrate our campus PTAs for their continued dedication to student success.

Find most campus PTA pages on Facebook, or contact each campus directly and inquire further about their specific PTA.

Volunteers:

We love our volunteers! Whether you’re reading to students, helping with events, or mentoring a child, your time and talents make a big difference. Join us in supporting Brenham ISD and help shape the future of our schools.

Wellness Wednesday Partners:

Wellness Wednesday is Brenham ISD’s initiative to care for those who care for our students—our staff! Local businesses and community members partner with us to provide wellness resources, fitness classes, healthy treats, and more to keep our educators energized and appreciated.
